  • Acted for a large multi-disciplinary construction group in respect of a Notice served on it by the relevant local authority pursuant to section 23 of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act 1977 (as amended). The alleged water pollution incident drew significant local and national media attention
  • Successfully defended an enforcement action by the Data Protection Commission against our client, a national clothes retailer, for alleged breaches of the ePrivacy Regulations 
  • Advised an international aviation company on a cyber-attack which affected up to 30,000 data records and liaised with the Data Protection Commission on the resolution of same 
  • Dealt with a claim that involves allegations of a ‘tummy tuck’ abdominal surgical procedure having been carried out defectively where damages are being sought, necessitating a review of the consent procedures maintained by the hospital and surgeon concerned
  • Successfully defended long-running injunctive proceedings before the High Court on behalf of a corporate client pursuant to section 160 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 in respect of the proposed harvesting of kelp in Bantry Bay, Co. Cork 
  • Acted in one of the first Orders to be granted under the provision of the Land & Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2009 allowing a development site previously “landlocked” to be “unlocked” for planning purposes leading to the development and subsequent disposal of the development site.
