A Note from our Managing Partner
I am delighted to bring you our fourth edition of the Holmes newsletter, containing details of what has been a very exciting year for the firm and its clients.
Given our firm’s focus upon our people as being at the core of the service we provide, one of the most exciting developments has been the recruitment of experienced, dynamic professional staff to our growing teams. We are continuing to put a focus on sustainable growth in order to provide an optimum service to our clients, in keeping with the firm’s core values and mission statement.
In this regard, we were delighted to welcome Mark Healy, Senior Associate Solicitor, to our Insurance Litigation Unit, Susan O’Reilly of Counsel, to our Corporate Unit, Isabel Treacy, Senior Associate Solicitor, to our Commercial Property and Public Administrative Law Unit and Rachel Naughton, of Counsel, to our Data Protection Unit. I would also like to give a very warm welcome to Ed Kelly who has re-joined the firm as Senior Solicitor, specialising in Commercial Litigation. It is encouraging to see how quickly each of these new hires have adapted to the firm and made positive and valued contributions to meeting our clients’ legal requirements.
Equally, we have recognised the achievements of our existing dedicated staff through, for instance, the appointment of Jacci Fox as Director at Holmes – the first person to hold such a title within the firm. In addition to the dedicated service Jacci provides to our clients, her appointment reflects the exceptional work she has undertaken for the firm in relation to branding, communication and design and embodies the qualities and skillsets of a director of a firm such as ours.
Stephen Walker’s elevation to Partner has significantly bolstered our Corporate Team, providing a wide spectrum of international experience and commercial acumen. Stephen will head up the Corporate Team as it continues to grow and expand bringing his highly decorated experience and expertise to his new role. Stephen brings considerable leadership qualities and will be a leading member of our Dublin office alongside Wayne Finn and Lorraine Power.
Quality is one of our core values at Holmes and is at the core of all that we do each and every day. In this regard, I am immensely proud to advise that the firm recently scored 99% in the Q9000 Legal Quality Standard audit; this is, quite simply, an incredible achievement and I would like to thank Anna Owens, our Compliance Partner, and all involved for their considerable efforts. This accreditation is recognised by the Law Society of Ireland and is awarded by the Institute of Legal Research and Standards. This award reflects our continued dedication to delivering exceptional levels of strategic innovation and quality management across all aspects of our business in order to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Thank you for placing your trust in Holmes, we are most grateful for your continued business, and we look forward to partnering with you again in the New Year.
Kind regards,
Harry Fehily
Managing Partner
