Susan O’Reilly, of Counsel, specialises in corporate and commercial. She joined the firm in 2023.
With over 20 years’ experience advising Irish and international clients on a range of corporate and commercial law matters, Susan previously worked for Whitney Moore and prior to that spent a number of years working in London.
Susan has extensive experience in private equity and venture capital investments, and regularly advises on early and later stage investments for high potential start-up and SME companies. She acts for both investors and investee companies across all sectors.
She also has considerable expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and cross-border transactional work for private companies. She has advised on numerous large-scale share and asset purchases, representing national and international clients and advising on either side of a transaction, as buyer or seller.
Her practice areas also include commercial agreements, joint venture arrangements, corporate governance matters and company law generally.

Advised Siga Hydro Limited, an Irish company in the clean energy and renewable sector, in relation to an equity stake acquired by Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners, a listed energy transition fund based in the UK.

Advised a university based in the west of Ireland on the transfer of the assets and undertaking of a college into and to form part of that university.

Advised start-up and early-stage companies in the sustainability, software and Artificial Intelligence sectors on multiple investment rounds, shareholders’ agreements and commercial contracts.
