Johne Murphy, a former Leicester and Munster rugby player, has raised €600,000 for Stride, the company he set up to enable people to make fractional investments in race horses.

Holmes were delighted to advise the team at Stride on their recent investment round demonstrating the great growth potential for this exciting company. Stride is a new syndicate technology platform offering shares in elite-level racehorses (https://app.strideracing.io/syndicates).

People can come on our platform and understand the reasoning of the purchase, as well as what to expect from the pedigree. They receive updates on the process throughout. We bring them on a journey from the sales ring all the way through to the winner’s enclosure. Horse racing is a content-rich industry, but people outside it don’t understand it. We want to give people an opportunity to learn about it with voice notes, pictures and videos, and updates on everything that goes on in the training yard.

Johne Murphy, CEO & Co-Founder

Congratulations to Johne, Donal and all the team at Stride, a really hard-working group with a great culture. Our M&A team and the wider firm are delighted to continue to advise Stride, another exciting client in our fast-growing cohort of sports technology companies.
