Edel trained and qualified as a solicitor with a leading international law firm in London in 2002. She qualified as a solicitor in Ireland in 2003. She joined Holmes in 2024 when OCWM Law merged with Holmes.
Edel advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law, commercial agreements and corporate governance matters.
She advises, in particular, on corporate matters including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and private equity.
Edel has acted for clients across many industry sectors including technology, healthcare, financial services, food and beverage, energy and natural resources and retail.
Recent Work Highlights:
- advising Packaging Holdings on its merger with Grafham Holdings Limited;
- advising certain shareholders on the sale of their interests in Towercom Limited as part of the acquisition by the John Laing Group;
- advising on the sale of Tuffy Wholesale Limited to BWG Foods UC;
- advising Packaging Holdings on its acquisition of Ace Corrugated Limited; and
- advising IFP Investments Limited on the sale of its wholly owned subsidiaries, Irish Flexible Packaging Limited and Fispak Limited to ProAmpac.
