Edel is a Partner and Head of Corporate & M&A at Holmes, advising businesses and their shareholders on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and corporate finance. She also advises on corporate restructurings, joint ventures, fundraising, shareholder agreements, financing and corporate governance, for clients in sectors including precision engineering, renewable energy, environmental services, telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, insurance, technology, manufacturing and packaging.
Edel is dual qualified, having trained and qualified at Slaughter and May in London. She was admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2002 and in Ireland in 2003, and joined Holmes in October 2024.

- Advised Killarney Telecommunications (KTL), a telecommunications and power infrastructure service provider, on its investment from Exponent.
- Advised the shareholders of Accutool Limited, a precision engineering company, on its sale to Kaleidex Group.
- Advised the shareholders of Axis Environmental Services Limited, a provider of environmental and ecological services, on its sale to the Celnor Group.
- Advised the shareholders of Acel Energy Limited, a provider of renewable energy solutions, on its sale to Entegro, a leading engineering group.
- Advised EI Electronics, a provider of home life safety solutions, on its acquisition of CUBE, a provider of design, print and packaging solutions, and SYS Financial, a financial services provider, on recent acquisitions.
